\u00a0LOS REYES, MICH.-<\/strong>\u00a0 \u201cAl recordar a Melchor Ocampo, rendimos homenaje no solo a su memoria, sino tambi\u00e9n a los valores que \u00e9l defendi\u00f3. Nos recuerda la importancia de luchar por una sociedad justa, de defender la libertad y de trabajar por el bienestar com\u00fan, sin importar los desaf\u00edos que enfrentemos\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3 la s\u00edndico municipal, Gudelia Oseguera Ceja.<\/p>\n

Al fungir como oradora oficial del acto con que se conmemor\u00f3 el 163\u00b0 aniversario luctuoso del ilustre michoacano, recordando sus primeros a\u00f1os en su natal Maravat\u00edo, sus estudios y amor al conocimiento, llegando a ser gobernador de Michoac\u00e1n, enfoc\u00e1ndose primordialmente en mejorar el acceso a la educaci\u00f3n para todos los ciudadanos, independientemente de su origen social, as\u00ed como el fomento al desarrollo agr\u00edcola y la infraestructura.<\/p>\n

\"\"\u00a0 \u00a0 \"\"<\/p>\n

\u201cMelchor Ocampo no solo fue un pol\u00edtico destacado, sino tambi\u00e9n un ide\u00f3logo influyente. Su pensamiento liberal y su visi\u00f3n de un M\u00e9xico republicano y laico lo colocaron como uno de los principales defensores de la Reforma. Su participaci\u00f3n en la elaboraci\u00f3n de las Leyes de Reforma fue crucial para la separaci\u00f3n de la Iglesia y el Estado\u201d, coment\u00f3 la funcionar\u00eda, en presencia de regidores, funcionarios, autoridades educativas y contingentes escolares.<\/p>\n

\"\"\u00a0 \u00a0 \"\"<\/p>\n

Record\u00f3 su periodo como ministro de Relaciones Exteriores bajo la presidencia de Benito Ju\u00e1rez y como, desafortunadamente, su compromiso con la causa liberal y su valent\u00eda en la defensa de sus ideales le costaron la vida. En 1861, durante la Guerra de Reforma, fue capturado por las fuerzas conservadoras y fusilado el 3 de junio. \u201cSu sacrificio no fue en vano; su legado sigue vivo en las instituciones y en las leyes que hoy rigen nuestra naci\u00f3n\u201d, acot\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Bajo la organizaci\u00f3n de la escuela primaria que lleva el nombre del homenajeado, el acto concluy\u00f3 con un llamado de Oseguera Ceja: \u201csigamos seguir construyendo sobre las bases que \u00e9l y otros grandes liberales establecieron.
